Forget the money, fame, and the idea of playing a sport for a living. It’s moments like the Johan Santana handshake routine and the camaraderie of everyone on an NBA bench going meshuganeh after a scrub dunks on the entire opposing defense in garbage time that are the best reasons to be a professional athlete.
