Since we’re on the theme of 1994 today, and since I’m still wondering if I made the right choice in turning down a ticket to tomorrow night’s Radiohead show in Boston (same band twice in a span of a week would’ve been a record for me, but a business trip to NYC calls), I present some choice clips from a Radiohead show at the Astoria in the UK, circa May 1994.
These clips as part of a DVD, the only time to date Radiohead has compiled one from one of their concerts. It was an interesting period for the band–after the release of their debut album Pablo Honey, before the release of The Bends, when they were playing staples like Creep while trying out new stuff like Fake Plastic Trees.
With thanks to poster neonwattagelimit for introducing me to the Astoria clips, here you go:
Fake Plastic Trees
Creep
My Iron Lung
Blow Out
Maquiladora
There are a bunch more, just look for the related links.
