Best baseball article you’ll read all year

Michael Lewis, with a long dispatch on baseball in Cuba for Vanity Fair. It’s long, but it’s worth every terrific minute of reading.

And for you Moneyball devotees, read Liar’s Poker if you haven’t already. It’s the best work Lewis has ever done. Hell, even his musings at Slate.com on being a dad are well worth a read.

I’d love to have half of Lewis’ writing and reporting skills, not to mention the incredible discipline and organization skills it takes to craft some of the essays he writes.
